Nomad Highnoon:
The Highnoon sits at third in
Atomic's versatile and cost-effective Nomad range.
Sporting, relative to its
waist, both a narrower tail and waist the Highnoon is a highly versatile ski
aimed at the adventurous intermediate to advanced skier who - well I guess
prefers to skid than carve.
As the tail is narrower there is less grip towards the end of the turn in the
sense of a carve, this ski is designed so that you can "feather" your speed by
skidding and scraping your skis over the snow rather than using the turn shape
or arc to slow you down.
What's inside:
Six
TFC sectors in the tip and
four in the tail of the ski ensure a soft flex, while the reinforcement
built with nano-technology positioned in the middle of the ski
between the TFC sectors provides the necessary torsional rigidity.
Dynamic, stable and with optimal edge grip.
The Nomad Crimson Ski features Atomics Torsion and Flex Control (TFC). The
innovation of TFC shaves excess weight in the tip and tail, and creates
forgiving flex zones. Yet the Atomic Nomad’s nano-reinforced backbone
puts a stranglehold on twisting so Nomads go where you point them, and
deliver the unique edge control that is Atomics’ hallmark.
The average
Atomic Nomad is 1.5 pounds lighter (20%) than yesterday’s shapes.
Imagine not having to fight an extra 1.5 pounds over the course of the
entire ski vacation. On today’s Nomads, you’ll ski longer without
getting tired, turn easier and feel more confident.
The side-cut
represents an ideal compromise between turning and stability. Skiing the
Nomads shorter will make for even easier handling.
Features:
Six
(6) TFC triangular sectors
(4 front / 2 rear) ensure that the ski remains flexible for
comfortable and safe performance even at high speeds
Nano reinforcement is integrated between the TFC sectors to provide
exceptional torsional rigidity without adding cumbersome weight.
Titanium Beta Torsion Flex Control (TFC) offers maximum edge grip and excellent torsional
rigidity while maintaining a solid flex for almost effortless
turns.
Nano technology
enables individual atoms and molecules to be processed
into thin coatings that are up to 50 times harder and lighter than steel.
Densolite, a preformed and sculpted microcellular foam core, is lighter
and more lively than wood, reducing swing weight for simple handling.
Graphite base tunes easily and glides well over all snow conditions.
Features an eye-catching
