Head Chip 71:
Yeah, this is a great
pair of all-mountain carvers. They Chip S’shapes have the composure of a
concert pianist, a delicate touch upon the snow but are backed up with
a hard-wood sandwich core that has power and depth for excellent
control and feedback - this is a very well tuned pair of skis.
Perhaps not the most racy
or aggressive ski - try the S’shape Speeds for that - but it is there
all-round harmony that really appeals to the expert skier or very good
advanced skier want to move higher and on to the net level.
In the hands of the
experienced groomed run cruiser they will be sweet, in the hands of the
in-experienced they will be demanding technically but you will be able
to grow into them over time.

Features:
ABS System –
The smooth solution, the
ABS system lets the boot
laterally glide out of
the binding with
virtually no friction in
the case of a fall. It
also houses a self
cleaning system with
release –values that are
not affected by ice-up,
dirt or boot wear.
TRP Toe System
- A consistent
180 degree release that
is ensured by 4 rollers
and glide inserts. It
returns quickly into
initial position and
ensure exact boot
centering. The retention
force is increased by
30% and 30% less play
for direct power
conversion to the edge.
The elasticity absorbs
brief, intense impacts,
therefore reducing peak
loads on knees and
ligaments.
Double Freeflex
- An integrated
flex performance by
freely gliding toe and
heel with an ideal
adaptation to the ski’s
flex curve. Toe and heel
are able to glide freely
on the rails. This
guarantees perfect turns
and controlled skiing.
Full Diagonal Toe
–This feature offers an
active protection in all
directions and 180
degree release range
from vertical to
horizontal. It is
intelligently-programmed,
direct DIAGONAL release
Ensuring optimum
protection during
backward twisting falls.
The Tyrolia diagonal
toes follow every
movement and release
directly in the
direction of the fall.
This means less load on
knees and ligaments.
