anything less than the "best".
From Ski-Review:
The Stockli Stormrider XL are basically a race GS ski on steroids
purely designed to go fast through loads of powder. This makes them
a little interesting on the piste - slow to turn but very fast!
Because of this you need a lot of strength of weight to really
appreciate these. We had a day of rotting slush where you had be
very careful or well as the guy with me found out it hurt to fall
over. However with these on my feet and a little speed I found these
really stable and would handle most lumps of slush that came along.
However don’t try and take them anywhere where you have to turn
quickly, bumps, busy slopes, France, gates etc.
If you want a ski to introduce you to going fast through any sort of
powder this is the ski for you. Don’t try them if you don’t have
good strength and loads of experience as they don’t turn without
loads of work. I enjoyed the Stormrider XL a lot, but for someone
looking for a really big ski, you can go bigger even if it's only to
its big brother, the Stormrider SS.
The
Stockli Stormrider is simply put, is the most precise
skiing instrument on the market today.
