Fischer Vision
Vapor:
This is one of the best balanced
women's skis on the market.
It is easy to make a ski stable and
able to grip the snow sufficiently you just make it like a plank.
However, those skis can often feel like your riding a hard piece of
wood down the mountain. The Vapor doesn't feel that way at all.
It is nimble enough, it grips enough,
and is condition friendly enough for almost anyone.
On steep groomed pitches where the
snow is scraped off and slick, the Vision Vapor grips superbly. The
major difference between the Vision Vapor and other "plank" skis is
that it is way more flexible and therefore a more comfortable ride.
Yet at the trail edges that have some
leftovers from a prior storm and also some half formed moguls. The
Vapor was stiff enough to plow the soft broken stuff yet not too
stiff to be good in the bumps.
The balance of characteristics and
capabilities in the Fischer Vapor come out pretty close to just
right.

Sandwich construction:
A unique
concept in ski core manufacturing that gives the entire ski
construction the ultimate in stability. The Sandwich Sidewall
Construction is the result of an intelligent layered structure
with a wood core to give the ski edges perfect support and make
them harder and more durable. Compared with other constructions
the absorbing properties of the skis are improved considerably.
This also applies to the even power flow to the edges.
Titanal 0.5: Wood core
