The Firebird SL FIS was fine-tuned for elite slalom races, where a 13-meter turning radius combines with powerful skier strength to crush gate after gate all the way through to the finish line and straight into the feeling of victory. Blizzard's long ski racing heritage and wealth of engineering knowledge show up in the World Cup construction. The Firebird SL FIS is powered with a double Titanal layer and a full woodcore. Sandwich compound sidewall construction delivers torsional strength and edge grip. RACE HIGH PERFORMANCE ON-PISTE
Carbon Armor: Multi-directional carbon layer on the top of the ski, in the binding area. The new Carbon Armor technology will be incredibly stable and super precise adding more stability and edge grip, better stiffness under foot, and maximum precision at the beginning of the turn.
Carbon Spine: A Bi-directional carbon layer vertically inserted into the woodcore construction. Carbon Spine technology makes the new Firebird line of skis faster and more dynamic. Features of this technology are improved energy transmission, super fast edge to edge response, and incredible rebounds.
Construction: The new Blizzard sandwich construction is built with a double titanal layer and full woodcore.
Full Sidewall: Full sidewalls guarantee energy transmission while providing stability and control. The added torsional rigidity using this system enhances the performance while providing a constant pressure along the full length of the ski.
Full Camber: The full camber ski profile guarantees perfect pressure distribution from tip to tail maximizing edge grip throughout the arc of the turn.
Marker WC Piston Plate: The World Cup Piston Control Interface (WC PCI) was developed in combination with the Marker Comp bindings to provide the perfect race platform.
