The UVO is the least demanding and least expensive model in the Code Speedwall series of groomed-snow carving machines. It's built with a traditional, non-Speedwall sidewall and lacks the top-and-bottom Titanal reinforcement of the top-end models, and is sold with an 12-DIN Marker xMotion binding. The Code series includes three models built for strong, edgy, race-like performance on groomed snow, with waist widths of 74 mm and 76 mm-not quite narrow enough for racecourse ice, but ideal for firm-to-velvety resort groomers.
Ability: Advanced, Expert Conditions: 80% Groomed - 20% Powder
Full Sensor Woodcore: In the Full Sensor Wood Core construction a compact wooden core is integrated from the ski tip to the ski tail providing power and energy along the entire ski's length. The result is optimum support and responsiveness for skiers with a good feeling for the snow and slopes and seek intuitive feedback from their skis. This wood core is used in the UNLIMITED and TIGER ski ranges and in some of the Freeski models.
UVO: A Ultimate Vibration Object is a free-floating, 360° vibration absorbing device to minimize disruptive ski vibration. The key differentiation between UVO and other damping systems is that it also addresses torsional and lateral vibrations.
Powered By Steel: Many high performance Völkl models feature a layer of spring steel below the ski's core. This metal layer absorbs vibration, providing addition stability for a fabulous blend of smooth-riding, yet lively performance.
Tip & Tail Rocker: The ski has a variable edge length in the shovel and tail areas. The rocker height is minimal. The variable edge set between the shovel and tail makes the ski turn-happy. That in turn allows for a stiffer flex setup. A longer ski can be selected.
xMotion 12.0 TCX Bindings: The In-mould toe combines highest protection standards with the power transmission of a Wide Ride binding. The 12.0 model boasts the race oriented Twin Cam heel with easy entry and exit function even with higher ISO/DIN values.
